Welcome to the blog for Linnie Arnesen Photos! This is where you can head on a daily basis to check up on me and what I'm up to! This blog is a way for me to show you more photos from each shoot that I have, and also is a way for you to get to know me a little better, because I'll post some personal things on here! Thanks for stopping by! And, as always, leave me some comments! I love to get them!

Sneak Peak

I had a pretty busy weekend! In addition to the bridal fair, which wore me out by itself, I had a kiddo shoot with little Josh and his mom Kelle, which was a TON of fun! I got him a big lollipop which made for some great expressions! Here's one of him...

Then Monday I headed down to Manhattan to take some engagement photos of Heather and Kory. Even though it was a little chilly and there aren't many pretty places to take pictures right now, we managed to find some places and I was able to catch some great shots! Here's one of them! Their wedding is in August, and I'm really excited for their big day!

There will be more of each of these sessions to come later, so check back in! Also I'm shooting another couples' engagement photos tomorrow and then another next week, so I'll start having real posts! Not just random personal stuff! Yay for photo season!!!!

Weekend Back Home

This past weekend I went back home! I had the bridal fair in Seneca, which went pretty well, and got to spend some much needed time with my family, especially my nephew! It was nice just to hang out with everyone. Friday night we had our family Valetine dinner and got our Valentine's from Marcus. I got an Incredibles coloring book! Yea! Here are a few pictures of Marcus helping us cook.

Marcus discovered that I work pretty well as a horsey. He'd ride on my back a little bit and then fall off on purpose and then push me back on the ground to hop on again. He wore me out!

On Monday morning, Marcus came over to Grammy's, and he played "sto" with me (store). He takes all the cans out of my mom's pantry and puts them on the table, and then puts them back. It's pretty stinkin' cute! One time he tried to bring me 5 cans at once, he's a pretty strong little poop! Here's a few pictures of that...

Some of the cans in the back were hard for his little arms to get to... so he just climbed in!

R.C., Snow and Special Offers

So this morning I woke up, shuffled downstairs to the coffee pot, and looked out the back door and this is what I saw:

Ah! Yesterday was 70 and gorgeous! Oh well, that's what I get for living in Kansas I guess. Yesterday, while it was SO beautiful, I sat out on the deck for a little bit in the afternoon and our resident garage kitty, R.C. (Rescue Cat) came and sat with me. He's a very lovey kitty, so I had to take some pictures of him too, here he is...

Also, I am definitely going to be in the Seneca Bridal Fair, the weekend of February 21st and 22nd. Very excited about that! I had to have a special to give away to those brides, so I just decided to offer it to anyone who reads this! Actually I have 2, here they are!!

1. Any bride who books me for their wedding before March 1st (that means you sign the contract and pay the deposit and everything) will get a 1/2 price engagement session! The largest (Expanded) package includes an engagement session, but I will take 1/2 the price of it off the total price. The smaller two packages (the Basic and Traditional) don't include an engagement package, but from now until March 1st, I'll add one for only $37.50. What a deal!!

2. Any senior portrait session I book before June 1st, this doesn't mean we take the actual pictures before June 1st, just book it, will receive 40 wallets FREE!! The 40 wallets will all be of 1 pose, but the pose is chosen by you!!

So let me know if any of you have any questions! And I hope to hear from a lot of you!! Everyone have a great week and a lovely Valentine's Day!!

New Additions to My Photo Family!

Hi everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I wrote last, but things are going very well around here! Since the bridal fair I have booked 13 weddings, so that brings the grand total up to 14 weddings this year and 2 next year, so far!!!! I could not be happier! I have to set aside an hour or 2 a day just to answer all of the emails and phone calls I get! It's nuts!

Today was a very exciting day! I went to Wolfe's, here in Topeka, to pick up a few things that I needed. I bought a Canon 20D from my brother-in-law's brother (that sounds confusing) last week, YAY!, and I needed to get a new flash and Stroboframe and sync cord and new battery for the 20D, and all that good stuff! For those of you not into photography, this is probably pretty boring, but it was a HUGE thing for me!! So exciting! I just try not to think about the check I had to write, ugh. Here they are! They're so shiny and new!

I'm a little excited, can't you tell!

Also, I think I'm going to be in another bridal fair coming up!! Yay! There's 1 in Seneca, KS on the weekend of February 21st-22nd, and I think I'm going to sign up for it! So everyone will have to come by and see me and say hey!

I thought while I was writing and since it will most likely be awhile again until my next post, I'll put on here all of the weekends I'm booked, in case someone misses the calendar on my website.
