Callie & Dan

A couple weeks ago I took Callie & Dan's engagement photos! We met in downtown Topeka and just walked around and explored from there! It was a ton of fun, and I ended up finding some new great spots to shoot! Dan just got back in the states from overseas, and you can really tell when you're with them how in love they are! Here are some of my favorites. It was very hard to narrow it down!

I love alleys!!! And I didn't even paint this, it was just there! Yay!

The sun was a little bright and they kept making goofy faces. I love this one!

I think this one is my favorite from the day! We were brave and stood in the middle of the street for this one! Good thing it was a Saturday and there wasn't any traffic!

Quick Peek

Ok, so I meant to add these 2 photos onto yesterday's post, but my photo uploady thingy wasn't working! Ah! So here's 1 of each of the latest engagement sessions I've shot, and I couldn't wait to share them!

Katie & Eric...
Callie & Dan...
I'm really super excited about the rest of their photos and I cannot wait to put them up here! Check back in later this week to see them!!

Just a Couple Things

This is just a note about a couple of things before I forget! Lots on my mind lately!

This coming May (not exactly positive on the date yet, stay tuned) I am doing a very special shoot!! I'm so excited! I have a group of girls who want to shoot some boudoir photos. Don't know what they are? Well you're missing out! Boudoir photos are sexy but still classy and not at all trashy photos of you to give to your special someone! These are perfect for an anniversary, birthday, or Valentine gift. Also, I think they would be a perfect gift for a bride-to-be to give her groom! The deal is that they're getting a hotel room at the Eldridge in Lawrence for a Saturday, and then we're going to shoot photos of them all day! This day is open to anyone else who may want some fun, sexy photos of them for their special someone! Just let me know if you're interested. The cost is a part of the room fee and then the photo shoot price of $75, and you'll get about an hour of photo time, or however long it takes, we have all day!!! With that you'll get an album and disc of about 50-75 photos and all the fun from the day! So think about it and tell all your friends! I think it will be a TON of fun! If you need an idea of the photos that I'm talking about, click here, you'll see some examples by a favorite photographer of mine! These photos are for all levels of modesty, so they can be as sexy as you want! Rather be in a comfy t-shirt than a nightie? Great! I would too! Want to wear that little string thingy you've always wanted to wear but were never brave enough? This is the time! There will be plenty of girls there in the same situation to make you feel comfortable! I'm really excited about this (if you can't tell), so I hope that a lot of you take advantage of this shoot! Let me know ASAP!

Also, the weather's getting nicer! Time to start thinking about family or kiddo photos! And I'm still running that senior photo special! If you book me before June 1st and mention that you read this, you'll get 40 free wallets!! Whoa man!

Alrighty, I hope everyone is getting ready for some nice days. I figure there has to be some coming our way soon!

Tye - Senior Photos

Hi everyone! I'm feeling tons better, so I thought I'd write up another post! It's an icky day outside, and I have no shoots today, so I'll be getting a lot of editing done! Yay! Last Saturday I have an engagement session and then I had another one just yesterday, which I'm really excited to get done and post on here! I found some new spots and tried some new things, and I'm anxious to see what you all think! I'm also working on changing my website, still deciding on if I need to and when I can get it done. So I'll keep you posted on that!

A few weeks ago, I headed up to Perry and met up with Tye and his family. They are all super nice! They took me to a friend of theirs house and we just shot in and around their property. It was great! And a challenge to find places on the spot! Tye has great eyes doesn't he??! Hope you like them!

Spring has Sprung!

Hi all! This is going to be a pretty quick post. I'm sick with a cold and I'm ready to just crawl back into bed right about now. I just thought I'd try to spread some pretty springy pictures I took! Here's a picture of one of the forsythia bushes in front of my mom's house. It's so beautiful!

I guess with spring, comes spring thunderstorms and man did we have one last night! It hailed too! Here are some pieces of hail that fell on our porch!

I've been in Hiawatha since Saturday for my sister's birthday, which was yesterday (Happy Birthday Manda!) and of course I had to babysit my adorable nephew Marcus! I can't believe he's going to be 2 in May! He's growing up way too fast!

And on Saturday, Luke and I stopped by to see his niece, Lily! She just turned 2 at the end of February, which is really hard to believe, and we're all anxiously awaiting the arrival of her little brother or sister on June 1st! Yay! Check out the long hair on her! Love it!

Okay, well that's it for now. Later this week I'll post some senior photos and some engagement photos that I shot this past Saturday! Yay for the nice weather and taking some "real" pictures! Everybody have a great week!

Dana & Rob

A couple weeks ago, on one of the most beautiful days EVER (seriously 70 degrees in February!), I met Dana & Rob at Gage Park here in Topeka for their engagement photos. The plants and landscaping were all still dead, but we made the best of it! I'm taking their wedding photos this July, which I'm very excited about because they are such a great couple! Here are some of my favorites!

Check out the purple boots! She's a girl after my own heart!!

So I'm working on using flair in some photos, and I think this one really works! Especially with Dana's red hair! What do you think?

They're HUGE K-State fans, so of course, we had to take some photos in their KSU gear!

Heather & Kory

This coming August, I'm taking the wedding photos for Heather and Kory and a couple weeks ago, we took their engagement photos! Being the end of winter, there weren't many "pretty" places to take pictures, but we made it work! Here are my favorites!

Josh & Kelle

Okay, so I have officially met the youngest superhero expert! Josh is 3 and he knows EVERYTHING about comics and superheroes! I took his pictures a little over a week ago with his mom, Kelle, and when I wasn't making him pose for me he was going on and on about which superhero does what and who he's going to be when he grows up, and it was just amazing! I took him a giant lollipop because I've seen pictures with them before and they always turn out adorable, so I had to give it a shot! And I'm pretty happy with them! There were too many cute ones of Josh to pick from, but I did manage to narrow it down to my top 8. Enjoy!

I LOVE their expressions in this one!

Lily's 2nd Birthday

Luke and I went home last weekend for his niece, Lily's 2nd birthday party. I can't believe she's already 2! It was a lot of fun! She was so excited! Especially for balloons! Here's the proud birthday girl...

Her grandma and grandpa made her a dvd. It was of Dora the Explorer and they were searching for the birthday girl and it had Lily's picture in it. She thought that was pretty great!

Sitting with her mommy, and her little brother or sister-to-be. Amy's due in June and we're soooo excited!!

Lily got a cool saucer chair from Luke's parents, and she climbed up in it right away!

Blowing out the candles on her Elmo cake.

Lily and her uncle Luke.

Playing dress-up! I painted up an old trunk with Lily's name and flowers and all kinds of things and then filled it with dress-up clothes and jewelry and Luke and I gave it to her for Christmas. She loves the jewelry the best!
