Max & Dorrie {engagement}

I've known Max as long as I can remember. He's my best friend/roommate, Kody's, dad and basically like another dad to all of us that hung out together growing up! Max and Dorrine, or Dorrie to all of us, are getting married this July. I'm so excited! And so we had a mini engagement shoot so Dorrie had some pictures to put up at the reception. Here are some of my favorites of the two love birds!

The next 2 photos, with the post, were totally Max's idea. He's so funny! He put Dorrie exactly where he wanted to her and said "okay smile in this one", and "okay be serious in this one". I was cracking up!!

The George's {family}

Here are the George's! This is now my 3rd session set up by Miss Megan George, who I now love dearly. She pretty much rocks! This family is so much fun. There is never a dull moment, and it's a joy for me to be able to photograph them. I hope you love them! Here are some of my faves!

Photo Posts on Deck

Hey all! I'm going to have a pretty busy next couple of weeks, including... VACATION!!!! Yay! I'll be gone the week of July 5th-12th to the Ozarks, Hallelujah! So I figured I'd make a little post of things that are to come, just in case I don't have time to make many posts later. Amanda & Alex {engagement}

About a week ago, I took Amanda & Alex's engagement photos. She asked if I had ever been to Ward Meade Park and if we could do the shoot there! I hadn't been but was really excited to find a new spot! And man was I excited when I got there and saw how amazingly beautiful it is!! It's the perfect place for pictures! There's a big, old house that has a great porch and amazing landscaping, and then a botanical garden. There's even an old town to the west of the house (Potwin right??). It was a great setting for engagement photos. Here are some of my faves from the day!

Getting New Ideas!

Hey all! I've been looking over all the things that I offer my clients and I've been thinking about adding some fun new things! I don't want to tell you exactly what I'm thinking, because nothing's set in stone but I'm pretty excited about things! And so I need all of your help. I would love to get your feedback on some cool things you've seen and think would be neat if I offered. It can be anything from custom coffee table albums to personalized thank-you notes to just offering reprints. I want to know what all of you have seen and liked and wish I offered! I'm excited to hear of your ideas!





(sorry for the excess of exclamation marks... I've been researching stuff all night and have kept coming up with ideas and I'm just a smidge jazzed about it!!!!!!)

Back to the Old Blog

So you may have noticed that I'm using this blog again and not my Squarespace one anymore. Well I like this one better frankly. The other one took FOREVER to load and it wasn't very reliable for me. So I'm back to this one! And I'm going to work a little bit harder on it. For instance, the new blog header! That I made myself and am super excited about! Yay! Well welcome back!!

Sam & Whitney {family}

Whitney is steadily becoming my most frequent client! This was my 3rd session with her within about a month and a half. I had her trash-the-dress session, then I took pictures at her grandpa's 80th birthday party, and then most recently she asked me to take pictures of her little family! It was Whitney, her husband Sam and their 2 schnauzers Monster and Lurch. They were a lot of fun! Enjoy!

Aren't they gorgeous!!?! I love both of their eyes! They'll have beautiful babies someday.

The Burke's {family}

This shoot was SO much fun! A couple weeks ago I photographed the entire Burke family, which included about 5 separate families. You might recognize a few people in these photos. I took photos of Jordan and her brothers back in November, and also of Megan and part of her family in December, but this time I had the whole family! We started out in Holton to get photos with their grandparents and then we drove to Lake Shawnee and finished with some fun ones of the kids and grandkids. I love this family! They are soo much fun! There is never a dull moment as you'll be able to see in their pictures. Enjoy!

Someone threw their sunglasses so they wouldn't be in the picture and accidentally hit someone else in the head... this was their reaction. Luke caught this one and I'm glad he did! I laugh every time I look at it!

The Wanamaker's {family}

Okay, so this is one of the cutest families ever! I've known Lou since I can remember. Lou is one of my aunt's best friends (and basically another mom to me) and I remember her on my summer visits to Topeka when I was little. So I was really excited when she asked me to take pictures of her family! I took a million pictures because she has 4 young grandchildren, who are dolls, and who are movers! There are so many that I love, so this is going to be a a long post! Get ready!
