I took Eric's senior photos a couple weeks ago at the Kansas History Museum. He is a senior at Washburn Rural and is planning to go onto K-State! Here are some of my favorites from his shoot and more reasons for me to love taking photos at the museum!

Jessica & Brad {engagement}

Here's another cutie patootie couple! Jessica & Brad! These two were so much fun to shoot! Jessica is so bubbly and energetic and Brad is pretty much good with whatever. Technically, they are already married. They got married last year before Brad was deployed Iraq, but it was a small ceremony with just them and their family. So this December Jessica is getting her big wedding! I'll be shooting that wedding too, so stay tuned for their wedding photos! Here are some of my favorites from their shoot! Oh and by the way, I hardly messed with their eyes... they're just that amazing.

Michelle {senior}

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! I had a good one and ate WAY too much... as always. After everyone left on Thanksgiving day, my mom and I watched "Meet Me In St. Louis", an old Judy Garland movie. I forgot how much I love that movie! Then Friday, I spent time with my mom, sister and nephew and that evening had a table with Luke's mom, Julie, who sells Silpada Jewelry, at the open business night in Sabetha. I went mainly to keep her company, but I took my information and portfolios and was able to promote the non-wedding side of my business, which was great! This morning I went to Weston, MO with mom, Manda and my aunt Jane and we shopped and had a great day! I'll post pictures of that later! For now, here's another awesome senior that I've had the privilege to work with year!

Meet Michelle! I met Michelle and her mom, Susan, in Baldwin City last month to take her senior photos. Michelle is a champion barrel racer and is just pretty amazing when it comes to riding horses! So, of course, we had to take some photos with her beautiful horse, and then we went to a friend of their family's home and land and got some amazing fall colors! It couldn't have been more beautiful! Here are some of my favorites!

Happy Turkey Day!

Yes I realize it's not Thanksgiving quite yet, but I thought I'd tell you all Happy Thanksgiving early! Since I probably won't have time to blog the day of!

I am in Hiawatha, my home town, today until Sunday. A lot of times when I come to visit, I bring my computer with me and work when we're not doing anything, but this time I didn't! I'm determined to have a good non-working holiday! I've been here about 2 hours and I'm already loving not staring at my computer screen. I don't take many days off, but I needed it! I'm staying at my mom's, and it's great to be in my house for awhile. I get to play my piano, which I love, and hang out with my dog and just be.

We're having Thanksgiving here at my mom's on Thursday with all the family, when I will eat my weight in turkey and cranberry sauce (the canned jelly kind, not the real stuff). I'll see Luke's family at some point, just not sure when since he has to work this holiday. Which is a total bummer, but what can ya do? Friday, I will sleep late and not do anything, because I would rather be hung up by my toenails then go shopping on Black Friday with everyone else in creation. We usually hang out as a family and watch movies, especially White Christmas, Holiday Inn and any other musicals we can think of. I'm sure this year we'll have to include some Cars or Handy Manny for Marcus. If we're feeling ambitious we might even drag out my mom's Christmas decorations... I'll need a good long nights sleep for that though, she has a lot! Saturday, my mom, sister, aunt and I are going to head to Weston, MO which is one of my favorite places ever! It's a cute, little old town that has a Father Christmas and great stores and loads of character. We mainly go for the homemade candles and the swamp fries, which are amazing and way better then they sound. But Weston also has a great camera store and vintage Christmas decoration shop where I get all of my 50's-esque ornaments. I'm so excited to go! Then I will be heading back to Topeka on Sunday after Luke's aunt and our good friend, Jenny's, baby shower. She's due in February and having a little boy, and I couldn't be more excited for them!

I hope everyone has a great turkey day and is able to sit back, relax and remember all that they're thankful for! I know I have plenty of things on my list! Happy Thanksgiving!

Allie {senior}

Allie is a senior from my hometown! I've known Allie and her family for as long as I can remember and they are all really good family friends. In fact, her parents, Dawn and Kenny, are my nephew Marcus' other set of godparents, and Kenny is making our wedding cake, with the help of my brother-in-law, Chad. Allie is so sweet and shy and I just love her! So here are my favorites from her shoot!

Megan & Chris {wedding}

Megan & Chris were married at the beautiful Seelye Mansion in Abilene on October 17th. You might remember from their engagement photos that I took last June. They are such a great couple and so much fun to work with! Everything was absolutely beautiful and Megan's dress was gorgeous! Here are some of my favorites from the day. There are a lot, and I feel like I owe it to you all since I haven't posted much in a while. Sorry! Enjoy!

The whole wedding party did a dance in front of everyone when they got to the reception. It was hilarious!




The Eisenhower Center was right across the street from the reception venue, and that weekend was the Eisenhower Festival and they shot off fireworks at the end of the night. We all said it was so celebrate Megan and Chris.
