Happy Anniversary to ME!

Hey everyone! Today is officially the first anniversary of Linnie Arnesen Photos! Starting my own business has been the hardest and most fulfilling thing I've ever done. Never in a million years did I ever imagine I would be a business owner, but thinking back, I was always on that track. For instance, in middle school I made picture frames and even sold them at local craft fairs. Crazy.

I feel so blessed to have had such a successful first year in business. I've had the opportunity to be present at 18 weddings, met many different families, witnessed babies discovering new things and seen high school kids as they're ready to go off and make their way in the world. I absolutely love meeting new people and I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to tell their story. It's exactly why I love my job so much.

It has been a pretty trying year, so I have to say thanks to my oh-so supportive family and friends. All of the referrals and free advertising and pep talks you all give me does not go unappreciated. I would definitely not be where I am today without you. Thanks and hugs and kisses.

Now I'm so excited to get going on year numero dos! My very first wedding of 2010 is tomorrow in Lenexa and then I hit the ground running with engagement sessions and even still some seniors coming down the pike. I have a feeling it's going to be a great year! (well duh, I am getting married!) And I have so many ideas and plans... I can't wait to see where life takes me and my little business!

So thank you again to everyone who has supported me this year or given me the opportunity to be a part of their memories. As my favorite, the Pioneer Woman says, I love y'all more 'n my luggage!

Michelle & Ben {wedding}

Michelle & Ben were married in the middle of December in a cute little country church outside of Wamego. It was a really cold day, but they were brave and let me take them outside for a little bit for some pictures. Congratulations Michelle & Ben!

Michelle wanted a really beautiful candle lit ceremony. So there were very few lights, which made a nice atmosphere. Also, the tree in the corner is real! It was gigantic! It made me think of "Christmas Vacation" when they go out to the middle of nowhere to find the perfect Christmas tree and have to pull it out of the ground and then it's too big to fit in their house. It was the biggest tree I've ever seen indoors before!

Dassinger {family}

Here is the Dassinger family! I'm good friends with Ann, we work together sometimes at the office and she worked for my uncle for a long time. Her mother was here from Montana, so she gathered the whole family and I ran over to take some family pictures. You'll probably recognize her cutie patootie grand-daughter Lilly, who I took photos of in October. She's grown so much and I swear just gets cuter every day!

Jessica & Brad {wedding}

Remember Jessica & Brad's engagement session from last month? Well here are their wedding photos! They were married at the Wareham Theater in Manhattan. It was absolutely beautiful and such a fun wedding to be involved in. Here are some of my favorites from their day!

I took a photo like this at my friend Liz's wedding, which was also at the Wareham, so I wanted to try it again!

Thanks Jessica and Brad for a great night!

Christmas in Hiawatha

Here are some photos of my family Christmases! I was too lazy to put them all individually on here, so I thought a slideshow would be a heck of a lot easier! Enjoy!

I've been feeling like I don't have enough pictures of our nephew Ben lately, so I'm giving him a whole blog post to himself! Here's some photos I took of our cute little pudgy boy over Christmas.

Happy New Year!

I didn't do too much for New Years. I had a really great wedding yesterday in Olpe, and then was too exhausted to party last night. So I went to bed early and rang in the new year while comatose. Which is just fine with me! My mom was here so we watched HGTV in our pj's till we were both asleep in our chairs.

I've had a pretty great year! Starting my business has been an amazing experience and I've been so lucky to meet so many new people! I started out my first year in Linnie Arnesen Photos with 18 weddings! I still can't believe how blessed I was this year. So to ring in the new year I want to look back at all of my weddings this year with my favorite from each! Here they are!
